Doomsday Highway

A third-person 3D survival game set in a semi-open post-apocalyptic world, built in Unity for PC.

The central fantasy

I started with nothing but an old vehicle. Now I have built a machine capable of crossing the dead world.

You begin in a weak civilian camper and gradually turn it into an armoured mobile fortress. The vehicle is not transport. It is home, storage, weapon mount and the main thing you invest in, which means every scavenging run is a question about what to bolt on next.

Around that sit exploration, scavenging, combat, crafting, RPG progression, dynamic encounters and story missions.

The art pipeline

The models, textures and materials are built in house through scripted Blender pipelines rather than by hand, one script per asset family: vehicles, characters, weapons, buildings, props. That makes the art reproducible. Change the spec and rebuild, rather than reopening a file and nudging vertices.

Each family is reviewed as a sheet: turnarounds at true relative heights, lighting studies at dawn, noon, dusk and night, and a locked colour palette per region. Those sheets are what the art page shows.
